what we do :: and what our clients think of us
We put together tailor made PR programmes for our clients and we'll tell you honestly what you need, whether it's a simple project as basic as providing you with the tools to do the job yourself, or starting out on a long term relationship where we look at everything from designing a new logo or launching a website, before we even get down to talking to the press about you.

We can provide copy writing, strategic brand positioning, project management or just a few hours of straightforward consultancy – whatever you need at that moment in time.

Finding the right avenue to help raise awareness effectively for a charity is always challenging. With The Daisy Garland the objective was to get them top level coverage at one end of the scale but also to be available to support them as a sounding board for advice and ideas, whether it's proof reading their literature or helping to find effective fund raising partners as their charity grows.

The Daisy Garland

"The support we have received from Penny Little has been phenomenal. Penny has this amazing quality of identifying your needs and achieving the impossible! She is incredibly professional, kind and supportive and full of interesting fresh ideas. Penny has great contacts too and as a result we have received some fantastic press coverage for the charity. Penny does a truly fabulous job and I have complete confidence in her."

Sometimes we need to work with other specialist companies delivering web solutions or graphics when a client is starting from scratch or looking for a change of direction.

This is when it is crucial to work with like-minded companies to create a team to deliver a faultless marketing service across all the bases. This might involve new corporate identity, graphics, website, photography and then the launch but there is always a great deal more that goes on behind the scenes to reach this point.

Working with specialist web design and web development agency Vu Online, has always added inestimable value to the whole marketing mix and working as a part of a creative and extended team on a mutual client is one of the aspects of marketing that I like best.

Vu Online

"I have worked with Penny for two years now in a number of projects. Choosing a professional to work with is often a challenge. It's different with Penny; I cannot recommend her enough. She combines brilliant people skills with genuine creativity, a sharp business mind and plenty of experience. Once committed, she works tirelessly beyond the call of duty. Her assessments are always accurate and well-balanced. Working with Penny means that a business will find its way to engage with the right kind of audience, in the right kind of style."

Marcus Link, Marketing Director, Vu Online Ltd Devon Web Design

With over 700 possible puzzle images to promote, targeting is crucial. We looked closely at our list of key consumer titles and carefully matched jigsaw 'stories' with a 100% success rate. Couple with some creative and contextual photography, we also focussed on the key moments during the year from Mother's Day to Valentines and of course Christmas, when jigsaws come into their own.

"Penny's personal approach to PR is perfect for a small but growing company like ours. Penny has made it her business to understand our business and how we can leverage our assets to gain exposure through PR. She understands what editors are looking for and has some great contacts in the media - in fact Penny was recommended to me by an editor at The Daily Telegraph. Wentworth products have appeared in all our key target titles over the last 12 months and this is all thanks to Penny's hard work and enthusiasm."

Every client is different but one of our jobs is to find the right and most effective way to tell your story. Eco carpenter Martin Young had a very strong story and a stand at The Chelsea Flower Show. Add that to a feature in The Daily Telegraph Weekend section the Saturday before Chelsea and you have a combination that can make a big difference to someone's business.

Sitting Spiritually

"Everything Penny has done has been refreshing, intuitive and her contacts have gained me some excellent coverage.  What I have found particularly impressive is the way she has understood and interacted with my business, we speak on a regular basis and I find her friendly input invaluable."

Martin Young, Co-founder Sitting Spiritually. www.sittingspiritually.co.uk

With Tumble Home we started from scratch with a new logo, graphics, photography and website and then once we had all our materials in place, we set out to get noticed by the press. We mailed our press pack in a hand made key cupboard to give our targeted journalists a real taste of Tumble Home, and here's what Tumble Home thought about it …

"I am someone who is happy to write pages and pages - but words escape me when I go to write about the impact that Penny has had on us. Not only has she given fresh blood to our business, totally revitalising us, enabling us to work hard and achieve our goals, she has somehow affected us in all aspects of our lives. I wouldn't have believed that a single person could have had such a profound effect on me and my life and our family's life and our business. She is strong, professional, focused and all with good humour. Even in the face of adversity, she can generate positive things. Penny can embrace as much or as little as you need her too. We couldn't have done what we have done over the last 6 months without Penny's phenomenal ability to hold so much all at the same time. You should see her juggling! And she knows so many people............You can't buy that off the shelf....... what Penny has, it's in her head and who she is. She is worth so much in terms of business and lots more in terms of knowing her as a lovely person."

Sarah Farrow Jones, Co-founder Tumble Home. www.tumble-home.com

Communicating your key messages is at the very core of every pr programme and in the case of Vital Touch we looked at their strap line 'feel life', their 'made in Devon' heritage and 'the power of touch' which runs through their natural and organic products. We used photography and very high quality graphics and materials to bring them to the attention of the pregnancy, parenting and health press. Vital Touch is small and beautiful but a visitor to their stand at the Natural Products Show in 2009 was astonished at their size in comparison to the perception they had of their high profile positioning in the marketplace.

Vital Touch

"Penny has handled our PR for five years now and we have been constantly delighted not only with the press coverage we have had, but also with Penny's input in terms of brand strategy and communication.  She is a highly valued member of our team."

Katie Whitehouse Director, Vital Touch. www.vitaltouch.co.uk

Companies could be looking for a long term PR programme or just a short term solution to meet a specific objective, like in the case of The Practice, a complementary health centre who asked Penny to help them pull together a way to explain their concept at a glance. A concertina leaflet was the solution with a page for each type of treatment and images of each practitioner using their hands to echo the ethos of the company, 'your health, our hands'.

"Penny offers much more than just PR. She is part mentor, part facilitator and like a good friend who is always focussed on your best interests. Quite unique."
